Safe and fun skiing experiences in nature are more important than ever for public health. Due to the current pandemic, we overlook our routines and adapt our operations to current recommendations from the Swedish Public Health Agency, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Swedish ski areas industry association, SLAO so that our guests and staff feel safe during their stay.

Our main focus is always that you as a guest should have a safe and secure skiing experience, so also this year. We have a joint responsibility to reduce the spread of infection and therefore we hope that you as a guest help us with this by following the rules and measures that exist at the ski resort.

Your responsibility at the ski area

  • Visit us only if you are completely healthy!
  • Keep distance – at least one pole length (1 meter).
  • Wash your hands often and thoroughly.
  • Cough / sneeze in the armpit.
  • Pre-book ski passes and ski equipment via hemavan.nu and preferably use contactless payment methods.
  • Wait outside and send only one representative of the family / group into the ski rental / ticket office if possible.
  • Go home by car if you get symptoms.

Precautions for the ski resort

Buying and loading ski passes is, as before, easiest here on the web. But we have also invested in new ski pass machines to avoid unnecessary crowding in our ski rentals. The ski pass machines will be strategically located at the Hemavan Gondola, Centrumhuset and Bayhill Center. Here you can buy new ski passes but also pick up ski passes that have been bought online.

We encourage you to pre-book ski equipment via the website to avoid crowding on site.

In the Hemavan Gondola, you only ride with your family or group. Any empty spaces between groups/ families are not filled.

All lifts are still manned, but if you want help, tell the lift host.

Digital check-in and check-out in Hemavan Alpint’s accommodations. Key delivery via key box. More parking spaces at Solkatten (other side the road E12). Be careful when crossing the road!

Soap and hand sanitizer in all toilets, as well as extra cleaning.

More barbecue areas in the ski area.

Digital ordering and table service at restaurant Solkatten.

Twice as large outdoor seating at Anders Bistro.

More tables and table service of food and drink at Björk – Topprestaurang & Fjällbar.

Fewer tables in the heated shelter at Hemavan Gondola.

All teaching in the ski school is conducted outdoors. We prefer that ONE parent pick up / leave the child.

No after ski with Hemavan Alpint’s restaurant operators. However, there is the possibility of seated beverage service.

Better booking conditions for both ski passes and accommodation. You should be able to book safely and get money back if the ski resort has to close due to the Corona pandemic.
